St. Gregory Palamas on the Holy Spirit

The Hetoimasia (Preparation) of the Throne, with the depiction of the Holy Spirit (source)

He is not just everywhere, but also above all, not just in every age and time, but before them all. And, according to the promise, the Holy Spirit will not just be with us until the end of the age, but rather will stay with those who are worthy in the age to come, making them immortal and filling their bodies as well with eternal glory, as the Lord indicated by telling His disciples, "I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever" (John 14:16).

Through the prayers of our Holy Fathers, Lord Jesus Christ our God, have mercy on us and save us! Amen!

Christ is among us!
I write you from the Monastery Celija Piperska in Montengro (Serbian Orthodox Patriarchate). We have the incorrupt relics of saint Stefan of Piperi, the founder of our monastery, at our monastic church. He is a important serbian saint and wonderworker.

We have just finished the english version of our site (http://www.manastirpiperi.me/en/). And knowing that you realize a wonderful work in publishing the lifes and stories of saints in english, we would like to `ask` you to let other know more about saint Stefan of Piperi.

In 2010, there was the changing of his vests, after 100 years. It was a solemn occasion blessed by the right of God.

So, thank you in advance!
In Christ,
nun Rebeka
